We live in a world where we care so much about labels which often times can be linked to our identity. Someone who rides cars with labels, wears designer labels and lives in a big mansion is viewed as the one who is important. It is good to have these things but our identity should be first linked to Christ.

A house filled with labels but lack Jesus Christ is empty. Let’s rejoice in being associated with the biggest and greatest label of all which is ‘I AM A CHILD OF GOD’.

1 Peter 2:9 explains the label of a child of God. It says,

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light”.

Since i carry the label of heaven, i don’t go about my life any how. I don’t orchestrate my life. My life is planned out by God. The label i carry is too pricey to be taken likely. As a result, i carry myself with dignity representing my label well. I try not to live a lifestyle that contradicts the value of heaven. As a royalty, i don’t talk anyhow, dress anyhow, or go everywhere. I take pride in the label i wear.

If you aren’t wearing this label yet, it isn’t too late. The owner is very loving and kind. He is ever ready to include you in the fold if you are willing to join. All you need to do is confess your sins and accept Him (Jesus Christ) as Lord over your life.

“………and whoever comes to me I will never drive away”. John 6:37

Join now. Tomorrow might be too late.

  1. Efua, I liked this a lot! Beautiful analogy!! I was never a label person. Always too poor most of my life to even think about labels. And, always too practical now to spend money just on a name, when I can find something just as good with a generic name that costs less. I loved how you described our label of “heaven,” and what that should look like in how we wear it. Thanks so much! Good stuff here!

    1. Thanks Sue. I am like you. I don’t have the money to splurge ok big brands when I can get a decent item for half the price. The label of heaven supersedes all others.
