This is one of my favourite phrases in the bible. “And it came to pass.” Whenever I am going through a rough time, I remember this too shall pass! It might not look like that now because the pain of the present does hurt. But I know and believe that even though weeping endures for a night, joy will come in the morning.
The night is scary, intimidating and fearful. Your night may look like lack, loss, delay, separation, divorce, addiction, uncertainty, grief and rejection. No matter how bad it is, remember that trouble does not last forever.
“Efua, I have heard this so many times. This hurts like crazy. Where is God? How can a good God allow this?”
My friend, I have found myself in situations before when I felt this way and asked questions too. However I have come to realise that even in those moments God is still good. In the years of my life, to be honest, I have enjoyed more good days than bad days.
During the bad times, the devil always makes us forget the numerous times God has been good to us. The number of times He has come through for us. The many times He provided. The times He delivered us or a loved one from accident. The times He healed our children. The times He helped us through a very dark path. The times He used a stranger to bless us. The list is endless.
If you are feeling down today, have you thought of counting your blessings, naming them one by one? It will really open your eyes to see what God has done and is doing for you.
The God of the good times is still God in the bad times. Be encouraged.❤️🙂
Great read Efua, thanks for sharing.

Sometimes I think that going through the bad times helps us to appreciate the good times more. And I always remember that I am going THROUGH the bad times…I’m not staying there! Regardless, God is always with me. Thanks for a good post!

Amen, sis! I agree! In all I certainly have had more good days than bad! He is always at work. ❤ His will is always done. He keeps His word.

Yes Sis. Inasmuch as we don’t always see the bigger picture, He is always patient with us. Thank God for His will that always comes to pass in our lives!

I love this, and it is so on point! One thing I did to help me remember my blessings, my victories, was to begin writing them down and putting them places where I will see them every day. Trials and tribulations come because we are human, but if we can keep our focus on the victory, the fact that we are overcomers, then we can make it through anything. 🙂

Good idea to write them down and place them in visible places. I will start doing it. Thanks sis❤️
