Finish It

I haven’t been here much of late so I have a lot of catching up to do on your posts. Please bear with me.

But today I just want to share something that I was meditating on last night.

Many times we are very exciting about starting projects. Most times we start but very few times we finish. We’ve almost gone halfway into the year. Are you still enthusiastic about that ‘thing’ you want to do as you were previously?

If you have started, well done. However how you finish is more important. If the devil couldn’t stop you from starting, he will do all he can to stop you from finishing. He will throw distractions, discouragement, lack and everything else at your front so you don’t finish. The bigger the vision, the tougher it will be to get to the finish line.

Remember Jesus Christ. The devil knowing fully well that Jesus’ mission was to save the world, tried to kill him at birth when king Herod gave a decree for every male child under 2 years of age to be killed. He didn’t succeed with that. But he didn’t give up either. Thank God Jesus wasn’t carried away with distractions from the Pharisees, Judas Iscariot and ‘haters’ of His time. He valued and understood the call on His life. Fulfilling that call was more important to Him than giving audience to distractions.

So don’t just start it. Finish it. You might think you have time, but really you don’t have time. Destinies are tied to our finished projects.

Enjoy your day today🙂

  1. Great post, Efua. I like when you said, “If the devil couldn’t stop you from starting, he will do all he can to stop you from finishing. He will throw distractions, discouragement, lack and everything else at your front so you don’t finish. The bigger the vision, the tougher it will be to get to the finish line.”

Satan will throw distractions in our way because he knows that he can’t stop us from reaching the truth of God’s promise when we trust in Christ.
