At The End of The Day…

It isn’t going to be about how famous I was

How educated I was

The size of my bank account

And the amount of expensive stuffs I have

My charisma will mean nothing

My education and degrees won’t be brought to the table

My eloquence will not be remembered

At the end of the day

One Man’s verdict about me

Will be the defining moment

May I never loose this consciousness

May I never get caught up in other things

That I forget how He sees me

May I not seek to please men

And displease Him

May the voices of others not overshadow His voice

May I not be applauded here

And rejected in Heaven

Because at the end of the day

Only His thought about me truly matters

  1. I love this poem, Efua. I like in the poem when you said,

    “One Man’s verdict about me

    Will be the defining moment

May I never loose this consciousness

May I never get caught up in other things

That I forget how He sees me”

This is so true. Because at the end of the day, our final verdict will decide whether we spend eternity with the Father or an eternity separated from Him.

      1. Amen. Efua. We should never lose focus on the goal of ONE day standing face-to-face with the Father.

This blog post that I am writing about on God’s love is amazing.

Even as I sit here writing it, I can start to see how much God loves a sinful people.
