Stay in Your Lane

This is going to be a short one and straight to the point.

One of the things missing in today’s society in my opinion is loyalty. Many people don’t want to stay long in a place before reaping. Employ me today, promote me tomorrow otherwise I move. The ‘I need it now’ mindset is to blame. Relationships are ruined daily as a result of this dysfunctionality.

Take careers for example, we all know that you have to be rooted in a field before you can grow. But these days, you see people who have gone through all the sectors. Yesterday there were in medical field, today they are in HR, tomorrow it’s IT, the next day it can be agriculture and the switching never stops. What baffles me is that despite the quick movement between careers, growth is still expected.

To be able to develop, we have to be willing to stay on our lane. What do you want to do? Find your niche and platform. Once you find yourself in that place, stay, learn, develop, add value before you can be promoted. There is no amount of prayer that will catapult an individual to the next if that person is not willing to stay and allow his/her roots to develop.

God rewards loyalty. Most times this trait spills to our spiritual lives as well. Perseverance is a fruit of the spirit. Don’t allow the devil help in wasting your time as you are moving from one place to another. You need time and experience to become a master. Don’t spend the whole of your life moving from one place to another.

Do you find yourself moving from sector to sector? Pray about it and find out what you really want to do.

I pray we will be led be the Holy Spirit always.🙏🏾
