Oh God! We Give Thanks!

Although we don’t celebrate thanksgiving in the UK, i would like to celebrate with my friends in America. Most of my followers are from the States and i really appreciate every minute of your time you take to read my blog. Thanks for your comment, prayers and love.

My pastor once gave a sermon on thanksgiving. In his sermon he said these lines that i will never forget.

Look back and thank God for all He has done.

Look forward and thank God for what He will do.

Look up and thank God for who He is.

Look down and thank God for putting your enemies under your feet.

With the above i’m sure you will find a reason to thank God.

I don’t want to forget those whose thanksgiving celebration won’t be the same because of grief. This will be someone’s first thanksgiving without their dad, mum or that dear one on the table. My heart goes to anyone like this. Only God can fill that void. I’m praying that you will experience the special warmth of our Father. That you will experience His peace and love. Thank God that you were privileged to meet that person. No matter how gloomy things might be right now, there is still a reason to look up and say “Oh God! I give thanks!“. It could have been worst. His love is still covering you. Don’t believe the lies of the devil. God still loves you!

Happy thanksgiving to you all. Have a lovely time with your family and friends.

  1. I was wondering where in the world you were from. “Look up and thank God for who He is” – this is really important I reckon and I have started to get into the habit of being more intentional when being thankful.

    Thank ya for sharing Efua

    1. I live in England Evad😊. And yes I am becoming more intentional about thanking God too. No matter how bad things are, there is always a reason to be thankful. I remember there used to be a time in my life when I prayed to have the life I have now. There is someone somewhere wishing they had what I have. So in all, despite the not so good days and times, the gloomy days, the windy and stormy seasons, God is still God. That alone is enough to give Him thanks.

      Thanks for stopping by🙂
