This verse has been heavy on my heart today so I thought I should share with you.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I especially love verse 6. God loves us so much that He wants to show us how to do everything. He doesn’t want us to make wrong decisions.

Do we really seek His will in all we do? He wants to be involved in everything we do. This include the minor and the major decisions we take. He knows that that quick meeting can make us take a decision that will affect us negatively. So before we agree to attending, He wants us to ask Him what He thinks.

How often do we shun God? How often do we tell Him that His opinion doesn’t count. Well we may not say this verbally but that is what our action says each time we do things our way. When we ignore God, we are telling him that we’ve got this. We can do it by our own ability. We are telling Him that we don’t need His help. This can be a very dangerous thing because we are going without God’s backing. His presence isn’t going with us.

“Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place. Exodus 33:15.” These were the words of Moses. He understood what it meant to be supported and led by God.

Sometimes we tell Him to lead but we ignore His leading, jump on the wheel and start driving ourselves because we don’t like the route He is taking us through.

Is God leading you? Or are you leading yourself? Have you attached God to a decision He never made with you?

I just want to encourage you today. As you go about your daily life, go with the backing of God. Never assume that decision is too small to pray about. Include God in all you do and He will direct your path.
